Koolmax Warranty Information

We stand behind what we sell. Here is exactly what your warranty covers, what it requires from you, and where the limits are, without any surprises.

KOOLMAX Remote Models

All new KOOLMAX remote models come with a 3-year parts and labour warranty as standard, unless otherwise stated or misused.

All Other Makes and Brands

All other makes and brands we sell come with a 1-year parts and labour warranty as standard. If you want coverage beyond that, an extended warranty is available on a parts-only basis. Get in touch with the KOOLMAX team, and we'll walk you through what's available for your specific equipment.

What Your Warranty Requires From You

Your warranty is only valid if the equipment has been properly cleaned and serviced twice a year. If we attend a warranty claim and find a blocked condenser, the warranty is void, full stop. Every integral unit also needs a minimum of 10cm of clear space on all sides to allow for proper ventilation and servicing. If that clearance isn't maintained, the warranty is void.

IMPORTANT: What the Warranty Does Not Cover

Lights and drain pumps are excluded from all warranties, regardless of the model or the level of cover. The warranty also does not apply if the equipment has been removed or reinstalled after the first installation, unless that work was carried out by a qualified person who was authorised by us in writing beforehand.

How Warranty Work Gets Done

We will carry out warranty work as soon as reasonably practicable. We do not carry out warranty work in the evenings, on weekends, or on bank holidays.

For a parts-only warranty, the Customer either returns the defective part to the Supplier (at the Customer’s own expense and risk) or (by prior agreement of the Supplier) pays for the new part and returns the defective part to the Supplier, for which a refund will be made.

For parts and labour warranty claims, repairs are carried out by a qualified person appointed or approved by us, and the cost of that repair is agreed with us in writing before any work begins.

One More Thing

We make every reasonable effort to supply equipment exactly as advertised, but we reserve the right to supply an equivalent alternative where necessary. All implied warranties and conditions are excluded to the extent permitted by law. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
